MCA to honour Vengsarkar, Shetty and Edulji

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) will honour Dilip Vengsarkar and Ratnakar Shetty with lifetime achievements awards. The awards will be presented by Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan at the MCA Sharad Pawar Indoor Cricket Academy and Recreation Centre, BKC, Mumbai, on Thursday..

Vengsarkar is a former India skipper with 116 Test caps. He was also a member of the 1983 World Cup winning side. Shetty is a veteran cricket administrator and with decades of service in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The MCA will also honour Diana Edulji, a former India women's captain and administrator Pravin Barve.

Said MCA President Ajinkya Naik: "Mumbai Cricket has always been the heartbeat of Indian cricket, producing legends who have shaped the game. As we celebrate our past achievements, our focus remains firmly on the future-nurturing young talent, enhancing infrastructure, and ensuring that Mumbai continues to be the powerhouse of Indian cricket.
