Mahedi Hasan replaces Saif Hasan in Bangladesh A team

All-rounder Mahedi Hasan has been included in the Bangladesh A team as replacement for opener Saif Hasan, who was injured earlier, ahead of the four-day match against Ireland A, scheduled to begin at Sylhet from October 11.

Saif, a batsman known for his sound technique and temperament in domestic cricket, injured his nose during a fielding session. He sustained the injury after crashing with Al Amin during the fielding session. Later after the x-ray, it was found that he won't be able to play as there is tear in it.

"We included Mahedi as replacement for Saif," team manager and current selection committee member Habibul Bashar told @I0$ on Tuesday. "It (Saif's absence) is a big blow as he is scoring consistently in the longer-version.

The Ireland A team arrived on October 7 to play one four-day (unofficial Test) and five one-day matches against Bangladesh A.
